Brit Brit Land

I'm Brittany and this is my blog Brit Brit Land. I called it that because I've long felt that I live in a fantasy world that most people probably think of as "la la land." This is a culmination of all the things I found inspiring, fascinating, and beautiful. While visiting Brit Brit Land you'll find pretty things, literary quotes, pics of unique personal style, and the occasional witty blog post. If you took Carrie Bradshaw, Hannah from Girls, and Kanye West, you'd have a grasp of what is going on in my head.

Day 13: Issue a Public Apology

image

I don’t really like public apologies, especially when talking about celebrities, but I guess I’ll go ahead and send a public apology to every boy I’ve ever ranted about online. LOL. Sorry guys! I used to live completely in my feelings, something I’ve learned to stop doing thanks to May Cause Miracles and Why You’re Not Married…Yet, and because of that, I sassed a lot of boys online. Oops!

Now I’m not saying that some of these boys weren’t deserving of sass because trust me, some of them were BUT an apology isn’t about placing blame on someone else so we’ll ignore all that. I’ll just go ahead and say I can be vicious, especially with words, and most of them didn’t deserve such a verbal, PUBLIC, vicious lashing so um yeah, my apologies. Ha. I’ve also learned that instead of attacking and blaming and sassing it’s easier and better for me to accept my part in the demise of said relationships (or non-relationships that I tricked myself into believing were real) and simply move on.

So to the gentlemen who have found themselves on the receiving end of  a rant about how horrible you were, my sincerest apologies. Regardless of circumstances I’m not sure that anyone deserves to be publicly “sassed” (for lack of a better word…and also I just love the word sass) and although I stand by my feelings at the time, if I’d thought about it for a while first, I probably wouldn’t have shared the feelings so publicly. So yes, this is my public apology to the former boyfriends/guys I dated who felt the public wrath of Brittany! I hope that after this apology there are no hard feelings. Maybe if we ever run into each other we can have a drink and laugh about the whole thing…yeah right. Haha

Meeting up with an ex is not always a good idea…

I am in love with this spread and her cover. I gave her a hard a time when she first blew up and didn’t think she was a real “model” but she can work a photo shoot and her body is amazing. I really love this and her.

Day 12: What Do You Miss?

                                    Man, we look young!

What do I miss? COLLEGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Life is full of great times and great things but I don’t know that anything can top not having to work full time, being young, carefree, no responsibilities, and learning different things on a regular basis! I realize that everyone doesn’t get that type of experience but I did and I’m so thankful to my parents for helping support me so I could experience college like that.

I met some of my best friends, in the most random ways, in college. I had fun at parties, I worked a fun work-study job, I learned how to do laundry, I learned more than I ever thought possible and I had fun!!!! So yes, college is what I miss. Although I have to say that the past few years have been wonderful but really nothing can top staying in bed and skipping class just because you don’t want to go out in the rain. Nothing. Ha. There is just a certain carefree attitude that you can really only have and maintain in college. You feel young, alive, invincible, and are so totally clueless about the world but it works because you’re in the college bubble. I miss everything about it…except exam week. Ew. Ha!

I’d say the only bad thing about college is that it doesn’t really prepare you for the real world. I swear that last semester they should make you go to a class every day from 8-5 so you understand what a job will be like…but where’s the fun in that?
